Between Mother's Day and Father's Day, the Japanese faculty and the botanical garden of our lovely university town Tübingen held the Cherry Blossom Festival (though the cherry blossom was already over that day, but who cares? ^^;).
The highlight of the festival for Chyotto Mahou (and hopefully for everybody else, too!) was a performance of "Fight for Kyôto", on which I took part as a student of the Japanese faculty. We played various scenes from Heike Monogatari. As costumes we took every piece of Japanese clothing we could get our hands on and headpieces made by Chyotto Mahou. I think that those improvisational costumes have turned out really good. ^_^
Just click on the pictures to enlarge them. If you see yourself on a picture and you don't want yourself to be shown here, write to: Kakeru@hotmail.de
For students of the Japanese faculty who took part in the performance: If you want to have certain pictures in the original size (for example to print them), write me an E-Mail or in StudiVZ or just tell me in the university...
Preparations and practice...
Now it's getting serious - the performance.
Argument between sword nobility (Minamoto no Tametomo) and court nobility (Fujiwara no Yorinaga).
The humble son admonishes the raging father...
...and everybody praises him for that.
Prayer: Bring freedom to the country or let my life end right soon!
... and the bad omen as a confirmation for my second appeal.
Song of the Taira.
Lights on and applause. ^^
Out of the auditorium, where the whole thing took part, to make a group shot!
And here are some pictures which were taken behind the scenes.
After our performance, Chyotto Mahou took some beautiful pictures in the botanical garden, since Yue also wore a Japanese dress that day. =^.^=
